Waterborne™, Inc. was started in 1991 by Dr. Henry H. Stibbs, PhD. His research, focused on the detection and identification of Giardia and Cryptosporidium in surface water and in animal reservoir hosts, spawned the development of Waterborne's "Glo" products.
Products include fluorescent and other monoclonal and polyclonal antibody products for use in isolation and detection of infectious waterborne protozoa, e.g. Cryptosporidium, Giardia, and Encephalitozoon (microsporidia) species. Waterborne™, Inc. also produces the purified parasite forms (cysts, oocysts, and spores) and a variety of immunofluorescence-related products, such as multi-well slides, mounting medium, and dilution and blocking buffer.
Waterborne's global clientele consists of private, national, and state/provincial/municipal drinking water laboratories; private, national, and university research laboratories, including the laboratories of the US EPA; and private development and research companies.
