Waterborne™, Inc. offers an extensive line of fluorescent antibody kits, with a variety of fluorochromes, for use in the detection of cysts, oocysts, and spores of Giardia spp., Cryptosporidium spp., and microsporidian species (Encephalitozoon intestinalis, E. cuniculi, E. hellem, and Enterocytozoon bienusi) in water, food, and various environmental samples, and for use in veterinary clinical diagnosis.

Detection kits can be used in the following manner:

• immunofluorescence microscopy

• flow cytometry

• fluorescence-activated cell sorting

• laser scanning-based systems

• immunomagnetic separation (IMS methods).

 
Detection kits for water and food testing are available for the simultaneous detection of Giardia and Cryptosporidium, containing combined antibodies against each parasite or as individual antibody kits for the detection of single parasite stages, genera, or species.

A variety of fluorochromes are available in the detection kits as seen in the chart below.*
